Newsletter - Communication in the digital age

Ray Tomlinson invented the E-Mail in 1971 and Michael Rotert was the first person in Germany to receive an email, dated back to 3rd August 1984. Although email has been in existence for more than 45 years and can be opened, read and edited with a number of devices and softwares, a large part of its structure still remains unchanged till today.

Newsletters were originally disseminated by churches, clubs and associations. Today Newsletters are more often disseminated in electronic forms i.e. in the form of of an email.
